Mumbai: The developments in international cricket are fast approaching. BCCI is changing in favor! The ICC T20 men’s World Cup in Australia will be postponed from October to November this year. It seems likely that the ICC will formally announce this next week. The ICC conferences will be held this month via video conference. Nominations for the postponement of the World Cup and the chairmanship of the ICC will be discussed mainly on election management. When the World Cup is postponed, it is a challenge for the ICC and Cricket Australia to hold it again.

The Australian government is tightening sanctions in the wake of the corona virus threat. The borders were closed until September. Whoever goes there must stay in the Quarantine for 14 days. In these situations, it is difficult for 16 teams to go there and be a quarantine. Cricket Australia is not in favor of the World Cup in empty stadiums.

Cricket Australia seems to be doing well if the World Cup is held in February / March of next year. If so, the IPL 2021 should take place in April. This puts the England tour in India at risk. A live broadcaster may not accept this. The 2021 World Cup in India and the 2022 World Cup in Aussies is another possibility. This is likely due to the BCCI’s already supporting Aussies tour. It is interesting what is happening in the ICC discussions on all these. However, the role of the BCCI will be prominent.
