A key decision on liquor stores in AP

Amaravathi: The AP government has taken another crucial decision on liquor stores. The state has issued orders decreasing the number of liquor stores in the state. AP Beverages Corp. has ordered the reduction of its liquor stores by another 13 percent. Only 2,934 stores will be operational by the end of this month.

The ordinance stated that the goal was to establish a better standard of living by reducing alcohol consumption. The government has made it clear that it has raised prices in the name of Excise Retail Tax.The government has already removed 43,000 belts. According to the latest regulations, the government has limited the sale of beer and liquor to 3 bottles per person.

The ordinance also states that the permit rooms at the liquor stores are also being removed. The government orders the liquor sale to be held from 11 am to 8 pm. The government has also decreased the number of bars by 40 percent to 530.
